Welcome to our Union County Medical Society's (Pa.) web site!
Union County is home to Bucknell University
and the Evangelical Community Hospital, which are the two largest employers in our largely rural county. The
membership of our County Medical Society is predominately made up of physicians on the medical staff
of Evangelical Community Hospital. The hospital, its medical staff and our County Medical Society serve
a large area of central Pennsylvania as there are no hospital facilities in the three contiguous counties to the south
and southwest of Union County. There also, at present, is no organized county medical society in the adjacent Snyder
County to the south of Union County; hence we invite and welcome those physicians to our meetings and activities.

Among key objectives we
try to address, are issues confronting physicians and patients that affect access to care and the quality of
care. We encourage both physicians and patients interested in such issues to contact us with their specific
views and interests. To
